About Us

The original Wool Shop in Montrose was part of a chain of shops which closed in 1998. Two of their staff, Glynis Dickin (then Blacklaws) and Margaret Cheyne, decided to open their own wool shop and were given permission to to keep
'The Wool Shop' name.

Suitable premises were found and the shop opened in Murray Street, Montrose on 4^th July 1998.

In 2007 Margaret retired and Glynis became the sole proprietor of the shop.
